I'd been thinking of how to do this shot for a while. Orb on the floor of the castle, then repositioned the tripod to point up inside the empty tower. I'd assumed that as I have only the one tripod that it would have been a right faff, but as it happened, it worked first time. Almost a disappointment. Rod Hunt was commissoned by Saatchi & Saatchi in London to create a huge city illustration as part of the Toyota Aygo 'Go Fun Yourself' campaign. See the full project in detail here http://ift.tt/1DELPlV... The new AYGO 'Go Fun Yourself' campaign launched in July, promoting a new car model aiming to appeal to 25-35 year olds. As a brand, Toyota want to appeal to a younger target audience. The aim was to create a bright, buzzy, colourful & provocative image with a sense of the Japanese culture from where the car came. Rod created a series of busy and fun images showcasing a number of scenarios and situations where the personality of the Aygo comes to life - pranks, things for our consumer to find, funnies and secret combinations. UN RELOJ DE AGUA CON AGUJAS DE ALFILER. STAURODESMUS by PROYECTO AGUA / WATER PROJECT
* * En Biodiversidad virtual y también en Twiter * * Staurodesmus cuenta el tiempo en el agua con su corazón de reloj de arena a latidos de sol y despliega sus agudas alas de alfiler en su cuerpo, siempre asomado al espejo que lo refleja, como las montañas en el Lago que le da la vida. Staurodesmus ha contado ya las horas minutos y segundos que lo separan del tiempo de agosto en que apareció bebiendo en el agua la luz del Sol que pintó de luces su corazón. Igual que todos los désmidos, algas joya, Staurodesmus se copia a sí misma y se hace una al mirarse, del mismo modo que se componen las dos mitades simétricas de una volandera mariposa del agua. Désmido de extremos afilados, a diferencia de otros de sus hermanos de género, sólo presenta dos largas prolongaciones espinosas como alfileres en cada una de sus mitades y flota en el agua del Lago de Sanabria acompañando a Coenocystis planctónica , el alga verde y diminuta, casi invisible, que durante un tiempo dominó el plancton del Lago y que, mientras duerme, tiñe de verde su añorada transparencia. Staurodesmus triangularis es un désmido con perfil de reloj de arena, de alargado cuello cilíndrico -itsmo- que se distribuye en aguas continentales frías y ácidas de todo el planeta, sus dos semicélulas de contorno triangular rematan en dos espinas de gran longitud y prácticamente paralelas, Staurodesmus triangularis var. parallelus lo que permite diferenciarlo de otras especies próximas como Staurodesmus incus o Staurodesmus indentatus . La presencia de Staurodesmus en el plancton del Lago es hoy escasa y testimonial y nunca llega a ser muy abundante. Staurodesmus parece contar con su cuerpo de reloj el tiempo para conseguir lo que todos queremos, las aguas limpias y transparentes y no estas turbias que un día se tiñeron de corrupción Staurodesmus triangularis se ha fotografiado a 400 aumentos empleando la técnica de campo oscuro y polarización, procede de una muestra integrada recogida desde el catamarán Helios Sanabria el 14 de agosto de 2014 por Ismael y Andrés Rotea en el Lago de Sanabria junto a la boya de Bouzas.
